Exalegiuse (エクサレギウス) PlayStation 1 | Disc Only | Japanese Import NTSC-J | Used Exalegiuse is a 1998 space simulation RPG developed by Kogado Studio and published by Imagineer for t he original PlayStation. Kogado Studio were known in Japan for their PC simulation series Schwarzschild, and Exalegiuse was released as a spin-off of that franchise — bringing its space opera setting to console for the first time. The game features fleet-based tactical combat on irregular-shaped battlefields, with units composed of three warships each carrying loadouts of weapons and defensive equipment including lasers, missiles, cannons, and shields. Combat plays out in real-time 3D polygon battle sequences, and equipment management between battles is central to the strategy. A niche mid-tier PS1 title that never left Japan, and a genuine curiosity for collectors interested in the edges of the PS1 simulation RPG library.
