GPT 6-AM — The Best File in the Tint Industry 6″ Flat Window Tint File The GPT 6-AM Flat File is designed specifically for shaping and smoothing the edges of automotive window film. Its smooth, parallel single-cut surface removes material gradually, giving installers greater control and producing a clean, finished film edge. The file’s rounded, uncut sides allow for more precise edge filing while reducing the risk of accidentally gouging or damaging the film. Manufactured by the same company that produces the Snap-on 6-MA—the GPT 6-AM features a custom 49-TPI parallel-cut design instead of the Snap-on file’s 51-TPI layout. This slightly more open tooth pattern helps reduce flute clogging and delivers a smooth, consistent cut when the file is properly maintained. Developed by Gasket Pro Tools using more than 42 years of professional window-tinting experience, the GPT 6-AM has become an industry-standard tint file.
