The Floating Stars Runner Pattern by Cut Loose Press features striking scrappy Hunter’s Star blocks that create a bold and dynamic table runner with beautiful movement and contrast. Made using just ten 10-inch squares, this pattern is an excellent choice for showcasing favourite fabrics, leftovers from a layer cake, or coordinated colour palettes. The design forms twelve finished eight-inch star units that go together quickly, creating a generous runner size that works perfectly for holiday buffets, dining tables, and seasonal displays. The floating layout allows each star to shine while keeping the overall look clean and modern. For added versatility, this runner can be made using Insul-Bright batting, allowing it to double as a decorative hot pad or serving mat — perfect for entertaining and practical use at the same time. As with all Cut Loose Press patterns, the instructions are clearly written and broken down into easy-to-follow steps for confident sewing.
