2027 GNU Upgrade Snowboard The 2027 GNU Upgrade is Jeff “Hendo” Henderson’s high-tech resort freestyle machine, developed through six years of prototyping and refinement to create a board that excels everywhere on the mountain. Built around a Directional Twin Hybrid shape and GNU’s powerful C2X contour, the Upgrade blends precision carving, freestyle versatility, and effortless powder float into one highly refined package. A longer float-oriented nose, mild early rise, and directional setback work together to improve soft snow performance, while directional Magne-Traction® focuses edge control where it matters most. Finished with Carbon Power Bands, an upgraded carbon-enhanced sintered base, and lightweight G Lite 2 construction, the Upgrade delivers premium all-terrain performance with a distinctly freestyle personality. Who is this board best for? Intermediate to advanced riders looking for a premium all-mountain freestyle snowboard that combines powerful carving, freestyle progression, powder float, and cutting-edge construction. What's New? The Upgrade is a 30-year anniversary project from Jeff “Hendo” Henderson, featuring a harmonized Directional Twin Hybrid shape, directional C2X contour, upgraded carbon-enhanced sintered base, Carbon Power Bands, and directional Magne-Traction® technology designed to maximize control and performance across all terrain.
