Hidrofab is a high-performance water-repellent protective treatment designed to reduce water absorption while preserving the natural appearance and breathability of porous building materials. It penetrates deep into the substrate to create an invisible hydrophobic barrier that protects against moisture, weathering, efflorescence, and surface deterioration without forming a surface film. Its advanced penetrating formulation is ideal for concrete, natural stone, brick, masonry, cementitious surfaces, and other absorbent materials. Hidrofab helps extend the lifespan of treated surfaces by minimizing water ingress, reducing dirt accumulation, and protecting against freeze-thaw damage, making it suitable for both residential and commercial applications. Key Features High-performance water-repellent treatment. Penetrates deeply into porous substrates. Reduces water absorption without forming a surface film. Maintains the natural appearance of treated surfaces. Breathable formulation allows moisture vapor transmission. Helps prevent efflorescence and water-related deterioration. Reduces dirt and stain penetration. UV- and weather-resistant for long-lasting protection. Suitable for interior and exterior applications. Professional-grade formulation for long-term surface protection. Common Applications Waterproofing protection for concrete surfaces. Water-repellent treatment for natural stone. Protection of brick and masonry facades. Sealing cementitious and porous mineral surfaces. Exterior wall and façade protection. Prevention of moisture penetration and efflorescence. Protection of decorative concrete and paving. Residential, commercial, and renovation projects. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Q1. What is Hidrofab used for? It is used to protect porous building materials by reducing water absorption while maintaining breathability and the natural appearance of the surface. Q2. What surfaces can it be applied to? It is suitable for concrete, natural stone, brick, masonry, cementitious surfaces, and other porous mineral substrates. Q3. Does it change the appearance of the surface? No. It is designed to provide invisible protection while preserving the substrate's natural look. Q4. Is it waterproof? It provides excellent water repellency by reducing water absorption but is not intended to replace structural waterproofing systems. Q5. Can it be used outdoors? Yes. It is UV- and weather-resistant, making it ideal for exterior applications. Q6. Does it allow the surface to breathe? Yes. Its breathable formulation allows moisture vapor to escape while preventing water penetration. Q7. Does it help prevent efflorescence? Yes. By limiting water ingress, it helps reduce the formation of efflorescence and moisture-related damage. Q8. Is it suitable for residential and commercial projects? Yes. It is suitable for protecting surfaces in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments.
