Handcrafted Quality: Rattan reed handwoven over a wood bottom in a long oval with a wrapped hardwood rim, by an Old Order Amish family on the Iowa-Missouri border, and signed by the weaver who made it. The Whole-Loaf Size: 16 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches at the rim and 4 1/4 inches tall: ten to twelve rolls, a French loaf, a full sourdough boule, or the assorted breads for a holiday table. How The Warming Works: Add the pad and the cover from this page and the loaf comes to the table warm and stays that way through the meal; without them it is the bread basket for a big family. Measures: 16 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 4 1/4" tall. Contents not included. Three Trim Colors: Choose Plain, Wine & Blue, or Wine & Green. The color is woven in as dyed reed, not painted on, and on the plain finish the stain takes to each piece of wood in its own way. Optional Extras: The microwave warming pad, the hand-sewn cotton liner and the elastic-edged cloth cover are each optional and sold right on this page, with protective feet. The basket ships alone and is a bread basket without them. American Heritage: Handwoven in the USA and signed by the Amish weaver who made it. Backed by our lifetime guarantee, with free shipping and no-questions returns on every order. "I purchased the warmer along with it and it really helps to keep the bread warm." Vickie wrote in 2024. Tina's is the "Perfect size and beautiful." Tabitha gave one for Christmas: "They loved it so much they want to display it all year round." Melisa, who bought the set, found "the large one holds a full-size loaf of bread". The pad is a cloth pad filled with sand: three minutes in the microwave, then it lies in the bottom of the basket under the liner, the cover goes over the rolls, and they stay warm for up to 90 minutes. The liner and cover are pre-shrunk cotton broadcloth that machine wash and dry. Michelle's "baskets remind me of home They are warm beautiful and most of all they are made in America". The sizes are the outside of the rim. For six to eight rolls, the Medium Bread Warming Basket at 13 1/2 x 6 1/2; for the breakfast table, the Small at 10 1/2 x 5 1/2; all three, the 3-Piece Set. The Large Bread Warmer 4-Piece Set is this basket with the pad, liner and cover in one box. The rest are on the bread warming baskets page. An Old Order Amish family weaves it by hand on the Iowa-Missouri border, in the same community as the rest of our kitchen baskets, and the weaver signs the bottom before it leaves the farm.
