Leptochilus pteropus subsp. pteropus Leathery green fronds rise from a creeping rhizome and range from narrow oval to lance-shaped. A fine network of veins runs through each blade, and mature fertile fronds may carry dark spore-bearing dots on the underside.Older leaves may also produce small daughter plants with their own leaves and roots. Together with the creeping rhizome, these plantlets allow the fern to spread. Show more
