The Michell Audio Orbe Turntable is the company’s flagship analog deck, engineered to deliver uncompromising reference-level vinyl playback. Building on the legendary GyroDec platf orm, the Orbe features dual high-density acrylic bases separated by precision pin-point interfaces, forming an exceptionally rigid and non-resonant foundation. A three-point spring suspension system supports a weighted pendulum sub-chassis, effectively draining vibration while maintaining absolute stability between the bearing, platter, and tonearm. At the heart of the Orbe is a 60mm impedance-matched, vibration-damped platter paired with Michell’s inverted oil-circulating main bearing, providing ultra-quiet rotation, superior speed stability, and long-term mechanical consistency. A free-standing motor unit isolates motor noise entirely, while the advanced Orbe Controller power supply—with Never Connected™ circuitry and servo-controlled speed correction—ensures rock-solid RPM accuracy at all times. Finished with low-contact feet, a hinged acrylic lid, and the precision Orbe screw-down record clamp, the Orbe delivers extraordinary neutrality, timing, and musical realism. Show more
