Enhance the acoustic fidelity of your vinyl playback by securely clamping each record flat against the platter. This engages the record surface more effectively with the stylus, mi nimizing distortions caused by warps and resonances. The Michell Record Clamp utilizes principles of mechanical coupling and vibration management to significantly improve sound reproduction from vinyl records. By firmly pressing the record against the turntable platter, it reduces air gaps that can lead to resonances and unwanted vibration. The use of materials like Black Delrin, known for its low friction and damping properties, aids in mitigating interaction with the record groove walls, while the anodised aluminum knob provides a durable and tactile means of achieving secure clamping. The design considerations ensure that the mass and distribution of the clamp do not adversely affect the turntable's speed stability, permitting consistent playback without introducing additional wobble or noise.Key Features Record Coupling: The clamp ensures maximum contact between the record surface and platter, reducing air gaps that can amplify resonance. Material Selection: Black Delrin is used for its viscosity and vibration absorption properties, minimizing unwanted noise during playback. Adjustable Fit: Available in standard and 'R' fittings to accommodate varying spindle sizes, enhancing versatility across different turntable models. Durable Design: Anodised aluminum knob provides longevity and resistance to wear, ensuring consistent performance over time. Resonance Reduction: The weight distribution within the clamp mitigates record warp effects, resulting in clearer sound reproduction by reducing stylus tracking issues.
