Hertz MPS 250 S2 is a 10-inch shallow-mount subwoofer from the Mille Pro Series, engineered to deliver high-output low-frequency performance in installations with extreme space constraints. It is specifically designed for ultra-compact enclosures where traditional subwoofers cannot physically fit. The MPS 250 S2 is optimized for sealed enclosures starting at just 14 liters (0.49 cu ft), making it well-suited for under-seat truck enclosures, behind-seat installations, and other low-profile applications. Its shallow depth is achieved without sacrificing excursion or control, allowing strong bass performance in minimal air volume. Key Performance Features 10-inch shallow-mount subwoofer design Single 2-ohm voice coil configuration Optimized for ultra-compact sealed enclosures High excursion capability relative to mounting depth Suspension design engineered to maximize linear cone travel Power Handling RMS Power: 500W Peak Power: 1000W Driver & Construction Details Polypropylene cone for durability and consistency 38 mm (1.5 in.) single voice coil High-density flux ferrite motor structure Designed for high linear excursion in shallow applications Installation Use Cases Under-seat subwoofer enclosures in pickup trucks Behind-seat truck installations Low-profile sealed enclosures with limited depth High-output systems where enclosure volume is restricted Technical Specifications Brand: Hertz Series: Mille Pro Model: MPS 250 S2 Speaker Type: Subwoofer Size: 250 mm (10 in.) Both are 10-inch shallow Mille Pro subwoofers. The important choice is the amplifier load you need. MPS 250 S2: single 2-ohm voice coil. MPS 250 S4: single 4-ohm voice coil. Choose the version that suits your amplifier's rated output and the number of subwoofers in the system. Check the product's mounting depth, cutout and sealed-enclosure requirements before ordering. A shallow driver does not automatically fit an existing truck enclosure.
