The OKI MC362 image drum unit, part number 44968302, is a genuine OKI consumable for the MC362 series multifunction colour laser printer. The image drum holds the electrostatic cha rge pattern that toner adheres to, so its condition determines how cleanly each page reproduces before the toner is fused in place.Drums wear on a longer cycle than toner cartridges and are replaced separately. Repeating marks down a page, banding, or a loss of sharpness that a new toner cartridge does not fix are the usual signs that the drum has reached the end of its service life.A genuine OKI drum seats to the tolerances the printer expects, and the machine resets its drum life counter when the unit is installed, so the maintenance prompts stay accurate for the next cycle.Suited to workplaces servicing an OKI MC362 series multifunction printer.
