Summary PolyDryer™ is your ultimate 3D filament drying & storage solution which protect against dust and moisture. Printing with wet 3D filament can lead to various issues, such as stringing, clogging and rough or poor surface quality, especially noticeable during high-speed printing. PolyDryer™ was designed and co-developed by FabNotion. It features modular design, superior sealing and optimized drying system, ensures quick and even drying with its Dry Dock, whilst offering the dual function with its PolyDryer™ Box as a 3D filament dry box. Polydryer PolyDryer™ is designed and co-developed by FabNotion When drying meets storage. A new standard in filament care! Dry & store All in one solution With one drying dock you can add as many PolyDryer Boxes as you need so your next project is always ready to go. Superior sealing You'll never have to break the seal again Don’t worry about moisture ruining your prints, the PolyDryer Box has the best sealing performance on the market Efficient drying Brings your forgotten spools back to life 360° airflow secures even drying of your spool without damaging it. Polydryer XL PolyDryer™ Box XL: Sealed Storage for Large Filament Spools Superior Sealing Performance PolyDryer™ Box XL features a high-integrity sealing design verified through water leakage, smoke leakage, and long-duration humidity testing. It delivers sealing performance comparable to the standard PolyDryer Box with no degradation despite its larger internal volume. Print Without Breaking the Seal The integrated filament feeding system lets you print directly from the sealed box. Filament routes through sealed airlocks, maintaining the sealed environment during the entire print. No more opening your storage every time you start a job. Always Know Your Filament's Humidity A built-in hygrometer provides real-time humidity readings, and the included color-changing silica gel desiccant (up to 110g) gives you an instant visual check on moisture levels inside the box. Built for 3kg Spools Designed for spools up to 3kg (Ø300 × 118mm), Box XL reduces spool changes and keeps printing workflows smooth — ideal for print farms and heavy users running large-format or long-duration jobs. User-Centered Design Easier to carry with an integrated handle, easier to load with a design built for heavy spools, and easier to open with a new latch system. Box XL is built around real user feedback. Part of the PolyDryer™ Ecosystem Box XL integrates with the PolyDryer Dry Dock via an optional Dock Adapter (sold separately) for active drying capability. Compatible with 1.75mm, 2.85mm, and 3.00mm filament diameters. The 360° drying system creates a temperature distribution inside the PolyDryer™. For that reason, a single temperature can't represent the true situation as it varies around the spool. Other elements like the room temperature, initial moisture content, spool size, and material type and weight also affect the internal temperature of the box. The highest range though is 68-73°C. Can you sell the PolyDryer dock by itself without the box? Yes we can! You can now purchase the Polydryer dock individually here Is the PolyDryer XL adapter included in Polydryer XL Box? No, currently the adapter is sold separately. How long is the warranty? 1 year! Can this hold larger than 1KG spools? The PolyDryer Box supports up to 1kg but the Polydryer Box XL supports up to 3kg. What color should my desiccants be? The desiccants will be orange when dry and dark green when wet. If you ordered from the first batch of PolyDryers these colors will be different. How do I dry the desiccants? When you notice the most of desiccant has changed color from orange to dark green, then the desiccant has absorbed enough moisture and must be dried. The recommended procedure is as follows: Place the PolyDryer™ Box without the filament on the Dry Dock, use power level 3 and dry for ~8 hours until the desiccant turns orange. The desiccant should be placed in the same orientation as the screen on the Dry Dock , which facilitates the hot air blowing onto the desiccant and improves drying e ciency. Remove the silica gel desiccant from the PolyDryer™ Box (without including any other parts) and place it in a heat-resistant container. Use an oven to heat at 100-120°C for 1-2 hours until the desiccant turns orange. Remove the silica gel desiccant from the PolyDryer™ Box (without including any other parts) and place it in a heat-resistant container. Use a microwave, select a low power level, heat for 30 seconds, then flip the desiccant, and heat for another 30 seconds until the desiccant turns orange. What would be a good humidity range to see on my hygrometer? The final state after drying is related to the drying setting, initial moisture content of the material, external environment, etc. The following data are based on an internal experiment by Polymaker and are for reference only. In an environment of 20°C and 60% RH, using the recommended power level and twice the drying time, PLA, PETG, and PC materials placed in an open environment for 2 weeks were dried. With power level 1, the final relative humidity was between 20-30%. With power level 2, it was between 15-25%, And with power level 3, it was between 10-20%. The minimum readout on the hygrometer is 10% - it will not display lower than that.
