A solid eggbutt snaffle bit from Mackey, sized for a pony's mouth. The eggbutt design joins the bit ring to the mouthpiece with a rounded, egg-shaped fitting, which sits smoothly a gainst the lips and reduces the risk of pinching compared with a loose ring design, making it a comfortable, popular first bit for young or novice ponies. A single-jointed snaffle in an eggbutt cheek is one of the most straightforward and widely recommended bitting options. If you're choosing a first bit or unsure of sizing, it's always worth asking your instructor or a qualified bit fitter for advice. Show more
