A queen clip is a specialized beekeeping tool used for safely caging and removing the queen bee from the hive. The queen clip typically consists of a small, spring-loaded clip or c age that is designed to hold the queen securely in place. To use a queen clip, the beekeeper simply opens the clip by squeezing it to insert the queen, and then releases the clip to close it and hold the queen securely in place. The queen clip helps to protect the queen from getting lost or hurt during swarm removals or other hive manipulations in the field, and also helps to prevent the queen from flying away while she is out of the hive.
