Size:29 x 52 in. Jack Frame’s Rapunzel, measuring 25" x 48", is an enchanting vertical composition showcasing a blossoming tree laden with layers of delicate pink and white flowers. The tree, with its cascading, tiered branches, rises majestically against a shimmering gold leaf background, evoking both elegance and strength. The composition’s refined balance between the tree’s intricate floral detail and its solid, grounding trunk reflects Frame’s pursuit of harmony within nature. Frame’s unique approach often involves painting en plein air, allowing him to deeply engage with his subject. This practice infuses his work with authenticity and a tangible sense of place, bridging the timeless beauty of the natural world with contemporary artistic vision. Isolated against an elemental background, the tree becomes an emblem of resilience and grace. Drawing on influences from artists such as Bosch and Constable, as well as techniques like Japanese screen printing and medieval painting, Frame combines oils and acrylics with artisan methods such as gilding and marbling. These processes create vivid textural richness and a luminous intensity, reminiscent of traditional silk painting. Frame’s international acclaim, marked by numerous awards and a sell-out debut, has solidified his position as a leading artist whose work resonates with collectors and art lovers worldwide.
