In 2027, exhibitions across Northern California will explore the creative life of the region. It is a new local project that is, by its very manifesto, a universal one. The Bay Area may be the capital of the digital, but its soul strives to be post-digital. Its artists do not deny the digital era; they embrace it differently, on their own terms. The Further Triennial introduces a new model as a necessity. It seeks an Art Thinking experience that encourages reflection rather than spectacle, proximity rather than monumentality, and shared questioning Refresh will bring together a carefully curated selection of exhibitions , essays and artists in a lasting collector’s edition—a volume conceived to be kept, revisited, and valued beyond the moment.
