Suction-fed injection system: sand is fed into the water using the pressure of your pressure washer that sucks the sand meeting at the end of the attachment. The working pressure (PSI) is 1000-5000 PSI. It uses baking soda, dry silica sand or washed and dried river sand, glass beads. PRESSURE GUIDE FOR DIFFERENT TASKS 1. Removing Rust: Recommended Pressure: 3000 - 5000 PSI (207 - 345 bar) This level of pressure is ideal for tough, rust-covered surfaces like tractors, farm equipment, and vehicles. Pair it with silica sand or glass beads for the best results. 2. Stripping Paint: Recommended Pressure: 2500 - 4000 PSI (172 - 276 bar) Efficiently strip paint from cars, trailers, or boats. This range ensures the paint is removed without damaging the underlying material. 3. Cleaning Dirt, Grime, and Mold: Recommended Pressure: 1500 - 2500 PSI (103 - 172 bar) For general cleaning of dirt, grime, and mold on brick, concrete, or wood, this lower pressure range works effectively without causing damage to surfaces. 4. Varnish Removal: Recommended Pressure: 2000 - 3500 PSI (138 - 241 bar) Safely remove varnish from wooden surfaces and furniture, ensuring a smooth and clean finish. HOW DO I SET IT UP? 1/4 slip connect adapter, 10’ hose, 16’’ pressure washer wand, 10’’ sand wand, the pressure washer wand, and sand wand are input while the nozzle is output. CLICK HERE FOR NOZZLES 👉 NOZZLES (60%OFF) SET UP INSTRUCTION Step 1: Prepare the Sandblasting Media Select Your Media: Use play sand or glass media suitable for sandblasting. Prepare the Sand: If using play sand, sift it through a sieve to remove larger particles that could cause blockages. Step 2: Set Up the Equipment Check Pressure Washer: Ensure your pressure washer has a PSI between 3000-5000 for optimal performance. Attach Kit: Connect the sandblasting kit to your pressure washer wand. Secure Suction: Use hose clamps to secure the suction part of the wand to prevent water from entering the hose. Keep Media Dry: Cover the sand or media with a lid or place it in a container to keep it dry. Step 3: Sandblasting Process Position Yourself: Stand upwind to avoid water and sand blowing towards you. Maintain Media Level: Keep the sand or media level higher than the washer wand to prevent water from feeding back into the container. Blast Surface: Begin sandblasting by moving the wand back and forth evenly over the target surface. Continue until you achieve the desired result. Step 4: Maintenance and Troubleshooting Monitor Performance: Keep an eye on the pressure and flow of your pressure washer. Clean Build-Up: Remove any material build-up at the connection points if you experience pressure loss. Address Clogs: If clogging occurs, clear the blockage by unclogging or replacing the media or nozzle. Step 5: Cleanup and Post-Treatment Dispose of Media: Properly dispose of used media according to its type (play sand or other). Clean Surface: Thoroughly wash the sandblasted surface to remove any residue. Apply Rust Converter: Use an acid-based rust converter, like Ospho, to convert any remaining rust into a paintable surface. Let it sit overnight, then lightly reapply and let it soak. Final Cleaning: Wash the surface with water and a scrub brush to remove residue. Clean with solvent to ensure it’s debris-free. Prime for Painting: Apply an epoxy primer to seal the surface and prepare it for painting. TYPES OF SAND AND ABRASIVE MEDIA: Silica Sand: Garnet Sand: Aluminum Oxide: Glass Beads: Baking Soda: Kiln-Dried Sand: CONSIDERATIONS FOR USE: Compatibility: Ensure the sand or abrasive media is compatible with your specific sandblasting kit and pressure washer. Application: Choose the type of sand based on the material and the cleaning task at hand. For instance, use baking soda or glass beads for delicate surfaces, and garnet sand or aluminum oxide for more aggressive cleaning. Safety: Always wear appropriate protective gear, such as respiratory protection, gloves, and eye protection, especially when using more aggressive media like silica sand or aluminum oxide. SETUP AND OPERATION: Prepare Equipment: Attach the sandblasting kit to your pressure washer using the appropriate adapter. Load Media: Fill the sandblasting kit with your chosen abrasive media. Test: Start on a small, inconspicuous area to ensure the chosen media and pressure settings are suitable. Blast: Use smooth, even motions to clean the surface. Adjust the pressure and distance as needed. By selecting the appropriate sand or abrasive media, you can optimize the performance of your sandblasting kit and achieve the desired cleaning results.
