Handcrafted Quality: Rattan reed handwoven over a wood bottom in a low oval with a wrapped hardwood rim and no handles, so it passes hand to hand and sits flat between the plates, by an Old Order Amish family on the Iowa-Missouri border, and signed by the weaver who made it. The Breakfast Size: 10 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches at the rim and 4 1/4 inches tall: two to four rolls, biscuits or croissants, the bread for one or two at breakfast or the side bread for up to four at supper. For a table of five or more, there is also the Medium. How The Warming Works: Add the pad and the cover from this page and the biscuits come to the table warm and stay that way; without them it is the bread basket for the everyday table. Measures: 10 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" tall. Contents not included. Three Trim Colors: Choose Plain, Wine & Blue, or Wine & Green. The color is woven in as dyed reed, not painted on, and on the plain finish the stain takes to each piece of wood in its own way. Optional Extras: The microwave warming pad, the hand-sewn cotton liner and the elastic-edged cloth cover are each optional and sold right on this page, with protective feet. The basket ships alone and is a bread basket without them. American Heritage: Handwoven in the USA and signed by the Amish weaver who made it. Backed by our lifetime guarantee, with free shipping and no-questions returns on every order. Gina wrote in 2025: "Amazingly well made." Bill's "kept the biscuits she made for dinner warm", and Vickie found "The bread basket, liner and cover are all well made." Pamela has "2 and I used both at a meal and got rave reviews". The pad is a cloth pad filled with sand: three minutes in the microwave, then it lies in the bottom of the basket under the liner, the cover goes over the rolls, and they stay warm for up to 90 minutes. Only the pad goes in the microwave, never the basket. The liner and cover are pre-shrunk cotton broadcloth that machine wash and dry. Mona is "proud to present my homemade bread to my guests using this", and between meals Barbara keeps "pinecones in the baker for winter holidays". The sizes are the outside of the rim. For six to eight rolls or a sliced loaf, the Medium Bread Warming Basket at 13 1/2 x 6 1/2; for a whole loaf, the Large at 16 1/2 x 7 1/2; all three together, the 3-Piece Set. The Small Bun Warmer 4-Piece Set is this basket with the pad, liner and cover in one box. The rest are on the bread warming baskets page. An Old Order Amish family weaves it by hand on the Iowa-Missouri border, in the same community as the rest of our kitchen baskets, and the weaver signs the bottom before it leaves the farm. Standard shipping is free, and rush delivery is offered at checkout when a birthday or Christmas is close. It ships gift-ready, with no prices in the box, a free gift note at checkout, and a short letter about the family who wove it. Like every basket we sell, it carries our lifetime guarantee, and returns are no questions asked. Measures: 10 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" tall
