The SPOMB Float is a purpose-made float for use with spomb and spod rigs. It clips or threads neatly on the retrieval line to give a visible marker on the water. The float helps yo u track your spomb during the cast and on the surface. It also helps keep the spomb upright during retrieval and can reduce the chance of snagging by raising the body slightly on the surface. The float is compact but bright and is balanced to avoid affecting the flight path of the spomb. It is easy to attach, durable and designed to handle wet bank conditions. Design and features: Compact, buoyant design to ride easily on the water surface. Bright or contrasting colour options for easy tracking. Secure clip or thread fit to attach to retrieval line without slipping. Low drag profile to avoid affecting spomb flight or placement. Robust materials to resist knocks and UV damage. Small footprint so it does not interfere with retrieval through weed. Key benefits: Makes spotting spomb landing points faster and more accurate. Aids quick retrieval in case of snag or miscast. Reduces risk of the spomb sinking or riding improperly during retrieval. Simple to fit and remove as required. Useful for night or low-light sessions with reflective or bright options. How to use: Attach to retrieval line behind the spomb before cast if you wish to track the flight or landing. Use the float to help guide retrieval and avoid burying the spomb in weed. Remove or slide the float if you need a clear line for special retrieval patterns. Replace if float shows wear or loses buoyancy after long use. Practical tips: Use a high-visibility colour for dawn/dusk or dull days and a subtle colour on bright days if you want less reflection. Keep the float close enough to be useful but not so close that it interferes with the spomb opening. Carry spares in case of loss or damage during retrieval. Check clip mechanism before use to ensure it will not slide under strain. Care and maintenance: Rinse after use in dirty water and wipe clean. Inspect for hairline cracks or damage that may reduce buoyancy. Store out of sunlight to avoid long-term UV breakdown. Replace if the material becomes soft or brittle. Who it suits: Spod anglers wanting accurate landing sighting and quick retrieval. Anglers fishing complex features who need better spomb tracking. Night or low-light anglers who want better visual markers on the water. Anyone who prefers a little extra insurance when casting heavy spod loads. Summary: The SPOMB Float is a small but useful aid for spombing and spodding. It gives better sighting of landing points, helps retrieval and reduces the chance of snagging. It is quick to fit, robust and an easy improvement to any spomb kit. Show more
