Built for crop steering. Designed for Grow Sensor Pro. Get precise root zone insights with this advanced substrate sensor, fully compatible with the Grow Sensor Pro. Whether you’re managing drybacks or fine-tuning EC levels, this sensor is engineered to support crop steering strategies with accurate, real-time data from where it matters most—the root zone. This high-performance sensor measures: Pore Water EC (pwEC) – Track nutrient strength directly in the root zone. Substrate Moisture – Avoid over- or under-watering with reliable volumetric water content. Substrate Temperature – Monitor thermal conditions critical to root health and growth. Tech specs: Output: SDI-12 (V1.3) – Fully compatible with Grow Sensor Pro Moisture Range: 0–100% VWC (±1.8% in 0–50% range) EC Range: 0–20 dS/m (±5%, 7% or 10% accuracy) Temp Range: –40°C to 85°C (±0.5°C) Cable: 3-meter waterproof cable Power Supply: 3.6–16V DC Current Draw: 30 µA (quiescent) Highlights: Built for crop steering – Gives you the control to manage drybacks, EC stacking, and irrigation with precision Highly accurate VWC and pwEC readings via true dielectric permittivity Works in soil, coco, rockwool, hydroponic media, and mineral substrate Designed for buried or container setups – rugged and waterproof Includes reverse polarity and surge protection (TVS/ESD) Supports long-term deployment in greenhouses, indoor farms, and field environments Wiring Reference: Connect with ease using the colour-coded leads: RED (Signal) → SDI-12 data line WHITE (V⁺) → Power Supply + BARED (G) → Ground / Power Supply – This sensor is plug-and-play with the Grow Sensor Pro and integrates easily with other SDI-12 compatible systems. Whether you’re a commercial grower, researcher, or advanced hobbyist, this tool gives you reliable, actionable insights to grow smarter.Waterproof, durable, and ready to deliver data from the root zone - cycle after cycle.
