The Techno Frog is a solid-body soft-plastic frog with kicking legs, hand-poured in Texas by WM Bayou. Unlike a hollow-body frog, it rigs weedless Texas-style and fishes at any depth — walk it over pads, punch it through mats, or swim it like a swimbait. $6.99. How is it different from a hollow-body frog? A hollow-body frog is a topwater-only bait. The Techno Frog is solid soft plastic with kicking legs, so it can be rigged Texas-style (weedless), fished weightless on the surface or weighted down to suspended bass, and worked as a swim bait on a steady retrieve or as a punch rig in matted vegetation. How do you rig the Techno Frog? Weightless Texas rig — walk it across lily pads and open grass. Weighted Texas rig (1/4–3/8 oz) — punch through matted vegetation. Swimbait hook — steady retrieve for bass chasing shad in open water. It also works as a buzzbait or chatterbait trailer for extra profile and kicking action. Best hook: 4/0–5/0 EWG offset worm hook. When is the Techno Frog most effective? Summer through early fall, when bass are shallow in vegetation — lily pads, hydrilla, grass mats. It fishes stained to clear water, and it's been a producer in heavy pad and hydrilla coverage across Texas, Louisiana, and Michigan. What colors does it come in? Green Pumpkin, Blue Swirl, Watermelon Red Pearl. $6.99. Why buy from WM Bayou? Hand-poured in Texas from premium plastisol. Every bait is poured, packed, and shipped by us — Texas-made, proven action.
