The seductive, high-stakes industry of professional global sport is at the heart of TIGERS, an enthralling true story of a young Swedish football prodigy from director Ronnie Sandhal, the screenwriter of Borg/McEnroe. Martin Bengtsson (The Bridge's Erik Enge, in a searing breakout performance) is considered Sweden’s most promising football talent since Zlatan Ibrahimović. At sixteen, his lifelong dream comes true: he is bought by the prestigious Italian club Inter Milan. It’s the chance of a lifetime - but - comes with high expectations and pressure, and Martin soon begins to question whether it's actually the life he yearned for... Based on Bengtsson's memoir In The Shadows of San Siro, TIGERS lifts the lid on the gilded cage inhabited by top tier sportspeople, a rollercoaster world where everything, and everyone, has a price tag.
