It has a bright, expansive sound reminiscent of the classic Ludwig sound, and a clear sustain. It is free of any unnecessary processing, and its appeal lies in its acoustic flavor, which can be said to be the origin of wooden snare drums, and its overflowing natural tone. You won't want to miss the joy of watching the sound mature into a dry, mellow tone over the years of use.
