There is no column and no handle: the textured plate is the whole machine. Its PrecisionWave vibration runs at one set frequency of 35 Hz, so there is no dial to turn first. A handheld remote sets Low or High amplitude and a 30 or 60 second timer. There is no screen on the unit, because there is only one frequency to choose. For the whole of each timed set, the tiny micro-vibrations it sends through the body work to activate more muscles, burn more calories, improve circulation and assist muscle recovery.
