WTe₂ is a Td-phase layered transition-metal dichalcogenide and a semimetal, widely regarded as a candidate type-II Weyl semimetal. It exhibits an extremely large, non-saturating magnetoresistance and ultrahigh carrier mobility, hosts a quantum spin Hall (topological insulator) state in the monolayer, shows intrinsic out-of-plane ferroelectricity in the few-layer limit, and can become superconducting under pressure or gating. It is a representative system for studying topological phases, the nonlinear Hall effect, and ferroelectric–topological coupling. Growth method: Chemical vapor transport (CVT). Sample specifications: Individual crystals measure approximately 3 mm, with a purity of up to 99.9999% (6N), and multiple high-quality single-crystal pieces included in each package. Exfoliation: Easy — readily cleaved into thin flakes by standard mechanical exfoliation.
